Tree Planting with Rotary Club of Mbale

Tuesday 8th October the Rotary Club of Mbale carried out sensitization and tree planting in schools in Musoto community in Mbale City and it was so exciting and refreshing. I am pleased to have led the team of Rotarians and the President of the club and do hereby call upon every one to join the campaign to plant a tree and grow it.
Trees are an important part of every community for they create a peaceful and pleasing environment. Trees increase our quality of life by bringing natural elements and as we gather under the cool shades they provide in our compounds we enjoy the cool breezes and receive the oxygen they release. During the process of photosynthesis, trees take in carbon dioxide and produce the oxygen we breathe.
Trees play a role in improving air quality, regulate the climate, conserve water, preserve soil, and support wildlife.
Fruit trees give us fruits and medicinal ones are a source of medicines while many earn from the sale of timber and building poles.
EVERYONE is a beneficiary and therefore ALL should be involved in planting and growing TREES
As we promote tree planting in schools our target is that they grow knowing the value of trees and should be part of environment preservation
